Exogenic records was founded in 1996 to release electronic music by Finnish artists. First out was the debut CD from the tranceduo GAD, who at that point had been playing at parties on the Finnish trance scene for a few years. The V/A compilation CD "Bliss Point" was released in the summer of 1997. The artists feaured on the compilation have also founded the association of midi musicians MIDILIITTO in 1996. Artists on "Bliss Point" are Mac Mavis, Praktika, Midiliitto, GAD, O*MEN and KolmioKulmioSilmiö (a.k.a. Texas Faggott). Mac Mavis "Fresh Tracks" was released in the summer of 1998. The atmospheric electrogroove on "Fresh Tracks" is ideal for those chillout moments between parties. The "Fusion vs. Confusion" 2 CD V/A compilation presents 24 artists of mostly Finnish origin. The music includes Ambient, d'n'b, Big Beat, Trance, Electro and Experimental and more, in short the best beats from the Far North in 1999. For a comprensive list of the bands check under releases.
