Digitally Imported is a multi-channel Internet radio service specializing in Electronic Dance Music genres. Filling a global niche for this type of music made it among the most popular internet radio stops on the internet over the last 3 years. All our channels are offered in two streaming formats: Mp3 and Windows media. You can listen to any of the channels with either a high bandwidth high quality connection, or lower bitrate that is good for modems. The station and concept was started by Ari Shohat by the beginning of 2000 with just the initial Trance channel. Since then we have grown into something much larger and far more popular than anyone had conceived. We also have expanded our team greatly, with about a dozen people involved in the project.

The company behind the service, Digitally Imported, Inc., is a for profit corporation. However, to this day it continues to rely heavily on listener donations in order to keep things running due to the lack of constant advertising on the radio channels.
